Hollywood 2014

In 2014, the crop of Hollywood films have been really good.
And, without going into any kind of comparison with the films of the previous years, I must add that I have watched most of the good films that have come out of Hollywood last year within the last 7-8 months.
Here's my list of favorites for the 2014 Hollywood releases:
1. The Imitation Game
2. Boyhood
3. Birdman
4. Guardians of the Galaxy
5. Whiplash
6. The Theory of Everything
7. Dawn of the Planet of the Apes
8. Still Alice
9. Fury
10. X-Men: Days of Future Past
11. The Grand Budapest Hotel
12. Selma
13. Foxcatcher
14. Captain America: The Winter Soldier
15. Only Lovers Left Alive
16. Big Hero 6
17. Transformers: Age of Extinction
18. The Fault in Our Stars
19. American Sniper
20. Interstellar

Matt Bomer: the Charmer

Here's Matthew (Matt) Bomer of White Collar (the hit tv series) fame:

Matt is the ultimate charmer. He is sexy even without attempting to be so.

Not just playing Neal Caffrey, the con-man who'd steals hearts with aplomb........

....but also as the perfect sex-icon - much admired by women, and men.

Would love to see Matt ooze his charm on the big screen too.

I confess.....
even though I'm self-admittedly a filmy guy,
I have had to deflect from films for quite sometime
and hence I have stayed away from my blog too. The reason, to put it simply, is that I was in love..... I am a romantic guy at heart ........ and this time the romance was quite filmy.
Will elaborate later on that, maybe. Maybe I won't.
Haven't quite decided, as the fate of love too hangs loose for me.
But, here I am.... back to blogging again.
Hope to post more regularly in the days to come.

'Water for Elephants'

It is one of those rarest films that stay with you long after the actual experience of watching.

Life is the most spectacular show on earth. That's its tagline. And that's what it celebrates.

It's based on a much acclaimed novel by Sara Gruen.

The film, directed by Francis Lawrence, has a solid screenplay written by Richard LaGravenese.

The cast includes Robert Pattinson, Reese Witherspoon and Christoph Waltz.

An Ode to Zac

Zac Efron is the ultimate male eye-candy.

He might be closely followed by the likes of Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner, but Zac is Zac.....

No comparisons, puhleeeeeeeeeeezzzzzzzzzzzzzz!!!!

He oozes style, or should I say ISHHTYLE.......

From every angle, every corner..... hehehehe....

As a teen icon he has arrived..... and how....!!!

He has delivered as an actor, in films beyond the teen-pop genre.

There's no denying his instant appeal ..... across ages, across genders....

Pundits might have predicted an early burnout for the guy....

But he surely can enjoy all the attention till then......

His fans go hysterical, they go ga-ga o'er him....

No point in trying to hide............! Enjoy!;-)
